The story behind Hot Crispy Oil
It was March 2020 when COVID-19 shook the world. A 43 year old family restaurant in Upstate New York closed it's doors for what seemed at that time to only be temporarily...
Who is it for? Everyone.
Fast forward a couple months and this closure was becoming more apparent to be permanent in nature and thus Hot Crispy Oil was born. Influences from around the world and hours under Covid lockdown led to a recipe. What started as a recipe for friends and family created in a shuttered kitchen, began taking on a life of it's own.
In a short few months the growth was exponential on a daily basis. We began hiring fellow people in the restaurant industry laid off from COVID-19. We grew from local, to regional, to national and are now laying the groundwork for global distribution.
The only thing that hasn't changed is the time, quality and love that that we put into the product. Small batch, hand-made from the best ingredients on the market. This is our commitment now and forever.

A brief history of chili oils and some of our favorites:
The roots of chili oil run deep for hundreds of years all over the world but itâs origins and popularity come from Chinese cuisine and particularly the Sichuan Province. However, Lao Gan Ma the largest commerically produced one comes from the Guizhou Province. Asia is home to a plethora of many amazing versions.
Many different regions of the world have similar products based on ingredients native to their region. We took inspirations from many different cultural cuisines. Aspects of Asian chili oil, Turkish Hot Oil, Calabrian Chili Oil and even Salsa Macha just to name a few . We tinkered with different chili pepper varietals day in and day out until we found the uniqueness we were looking for. At HCO we are proponents for all those in the industry. These condiments are "having a moment" as they say. The field of crispy/crunchy hot oil products is a crowded one. Therefore, I'm so glad I stumbled on this one - it's clearly in a league of its own. FINALLY there's one that PERFECTLY hits all the notes: the amazing crunch! Not too hot! (they do sell a spicier one)And just plain super delicious! My meals just got a whole lot more interesting. I love this so much.

Hot Crispy Oil is the best. Seriously, so damn tasty. I put the âShakeâ on nearly everything, every day. I put it in my soup, all the meals I cook, Chinese takeout, not to mention pizza. HCO Shake should replace the crushed red pepper in every pizza joint and Italian restaurant in the country.

I totally love the crunchyness, I put it on pizza, even tried it on steak. Will be ordering the bag of crunches to add to my salad, I highly recommend that you give this a try
This crispy hot oil is really good. I make orange chicken with this in the sauce. Unbelievably good. Moderation is key if youâre not a hot hot person. Itâs tasty â adds depth to the dish. As with any spice a little goes a long way. Very good product
I made hamburgers đ over the weekend and brushed Hot Oil over the meat as they were finishing cooking, the flavor was Awesome!! Then I layed a fried egg over the burgers đ
Hot Oil Blue Cheese Wings..... Marinated in hot oil and air fried . Wings drizzle in hot crispy oil with a blue cheese dressing and a blue cheese crumble.

I love everything in the box. The aioli has excellent sweet flavor. You might really like it if you like honey mustard. I love the seasoning, which seems like the HCO w/o the oil. Greqt flavor. I absolutely love the HCO itself. I prefer Extra Hot. I have shared it with family. They love the HCO. The flavor is excellent. The crispies are good in a salad, or on anything youbwant to add some flavor to. I intend on trying it on a burger at some point. I love crispy onions on a burger, so that should work out great. I actually still need to open the Hot Sauce.đŤ I will be making my 3rd purchase from HCO soon! Honey looks good!
